Earlier this year I had the pleasure to meet Carrol Shelby on a photo shoot. Hell of a guy, at his age he is still dedicated to his work. Truly a legend – I hope I am that dedicated at that age. Here is a pic of us!
Ferrari has made large steps over the years with the model line up, and the headliner is the Ferrari 599. Now Ferrari takes the 599 and adds in 599xx goodies, and you get the Ferrari 599 GTO! A BEAST! Turn your speakers up this car screams.
I have been a BMW M3 Fan for most my life. What else do you need, RWD, powerful award-winning engines, superb handling, and reliability. Every model from the E30 – E36 – to present has been top of its class. Finally BMW creates a modern day CSL. It’s Quite humorous the car is made to compete with Carrera GT3 RS, the GTS taunts Porsche by sharing the same orange paint scheme. It will be interesting to see how these two cars will compete. In the meantime check out the new video of the GTS – thanks to BMW.
Again, Automakers are doing it big with commercials these days. You have to love the most recent attempt by Porsche. Ironically, Porsche highlights their heritage while marketing their first 4-door car in the companies history. They did a hell of a job, check out the video! I personally love the new 4 door, especially the Turbo version. Who wouldn’t want to ride in the back seat of this car!
Automotive marketing has seriously stepped up its game over the last few years. Back in 2001 BMW created the short films called “The Hire,” which helped raise BMW 2001 sales numbers 12% over the previous year. 11 Million views later other manufactures have tried to copy BMW’s creative marketing strategy. This leads into the most recent attempt by Ferrari to capture million of viewers. The Ferrari 458 Italia is the new replacement to the beloved Mid-Engine V-8 Ferrari F430, and check out the most recent video!
“Cars & Coffee” is a weekly auto event that has been occurring in Southern California for some time now. The event was once held at Crystal Cove, but has in the recent years moved to a larger arena in Irvine. If you are a car enthusiast, like myself, than Cars & Coffee is a must see. This free event caters to classics, exotics, concepts, hotrods, motorcycles, and motor-sport. Every time I have attended I walk away saying, “I cannot believe what I just saw.” I recommend staying for the whole event if your interested in automobiles. When the cars exit, it is truly an amazing sight to witness, and defines ‘Cars and Coffee’s’ unparalleled automotive entertainment.
